The Frog Tank

Home

Ah the frog's, this is another one of Gareth's favorites. Gareth has a fairly large collection of frog memorabilia in the house and has always wanted some. Unfortunately, as fun as frog's are many require much more care and maintenance then we can provide. These Dwarf aquatic frogs however, proved to be incredibly easy to care for and are always noticed by visitors.

"Frank" the incredible leaping fish, is well know for his perplexing behavior and unrelenting fear of the frogs. Recently, he made a desperate bid for freedom upon his introduction. He made a daring leap from his tank, onto the stand (5 feet off the ground) and from the stand to the carpet. We feared the worse, but the little guy pulled through. He seems to have moved past his fear of the frogs, although sometimes they get a charge out of pulling his tail. No damage is done, but poor Frank gets"a little indignant". I hope that he can move past his neuroses, although sometimes its fun having a Woody Allen personified in a fish.

We would recommend these frogs to anyone who would like an amphibian for their home aquarium. They need places to hide, and don't do well with aggressive fish, but will make a lovely feature in any small tank.
